Jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest and posttest with control.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing a COVID-19 pandemic with a very high number of sufferers. According to data from (Covid 19 Info) 2020, positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 are increasing every day in all provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java. The COVID-19 pandemic which has been going on for almost 2 years and seems to have no end has made people increasingly reluctant and indifferent to health protocols which are considered troublesome. As one of the therapies to overcome public awareness regarding health protocols is to provide education to the public.

The purpose of this study is to provide education related to health protocols with media that is easy and often used by the public, namely using posters delivered through WA media to increase public awareness again. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a one group pretest and posttest with control design. By determining the sample using purposive sampling method. The results showed that there was a difference in the value of the level of public awareness in the intervention group after the Wilcoxon signed ranks test was carried out, the p value was obtained: 0.000, while in the control group, after the Dependent t-test was carried out, the p value was 0.099. The difference in the post-test scores in the intervention group and the control group after the independent t-test was carried out was p: 0.000. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of education (PEPC) on the level of public awareness regarding health protocols.
