TERAPI YOGA TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TEKANAN DARAH PASIEN HIPERTENSI : LITERATUR REVIEW

Abstrak
Latar belakang : terapi yoga merupakan multikomponen dari latihan yang terdiri dari postur, teknik pernafasan dan meditasi yang menunjukkan efek menguntungkan dalam berbagai kondisi medis. Salah satunya pada pasien hipertensi dengan cara mengurangi aktifitas saraf simpatis dan mengaktifkan sistem gamma amino-butyric acid (GABA) untuk menurunkan tekanan darah. Metode : menelusuri hasil-hasil publikasi ilmiah melalui data base yang digunakan berupa PubMed, GoogleScholar, Proquest, Science Direct. Hasil : dari hasil review jurnal yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa terapi yoga merupakan terapi gaya hidup untuk mengontrol, mencegah dan menurunakan tekanan darah. Yoga juga meningkatkan kualitas hidup, menurunkan indeks massa tubuh, mengurangi stress yang merupakan penyebab dari hipertensi. Kesimpulan : terapi yoga menurunkan tekanan darah, terbukti aman, efektif dan hemat biaya

Abstract
Background: Yoga therapy is a multicomponent exercise consisting of postures, breathing techniques and meditation which has shown beneficial effects in various medical conditions. One of them is in hypertensive patients by reducing sympathetic nerve activity and activating the gamma amino-butyric acid (GABA) system to lower blood pressure. Methods: tracing the results of scientific publications through the database used in the form of PubMed, GoogleScholar, Proquest, Science Direct. Results: The results of a journal review show that yoga therapy is a lifestyle therapy to control, prevent and lower blood pressure. Yoga also improves quality of life, lowers body mass index, reduces stress which is the cause of hypertension. Conclusion: yoga therapy lowers blood pressure, proven to be safe, effective and cost-effective
